When II called I told the person what the problem was and was told the cost of the service call. The tech came and told me what I already knew, that it was the controller and he informed me that it was not available and he put the panels back and I was told that his supervisor would call me. The next day the tech called me too say his supervisor could not find the part. I did a internet search and found new ones and places to send them for repair. So what did I pay for?

When parts are no longer available it is an unfortunate situation for everyone involved. To us, "knowing" what is wrong doesn't happen until our technicians have their eyes and hands on the machine. We have been doing this long enough to know there are too many variables for it to be otherwise. We also cannot know the status or availability of each of the tens of thousands of parts in our industry. Regarding the part itself; we only purchase parts from factory authorized distributors and will not install re-manufactured boards which potentially could be a safety issue. If the part is found online, it would be wise to know the state of the part. Is it used? Rebuilt? Is it truly in stock? In most cases"NLA" parts that show in stock are actually not. Now to what was paid for. We were called out as professionals to diagnose a non-working oven, which we did. It is unfortunate that the part was no longer available but we can't control that. We agree that this is a frustrating situation and wish there was a different outcome. We are always available if there are any questions. 585-442-8690

Discovered that control is failing to send voltage to broil element. Control will need to be replaced. Control is no longer available from distributor. Placed probes in ice motor connectors and with door switch and ice paddle down measured 1.7 VACSR7728801343- performed several voltage tests on ice motor circuit. Ruled that there is a breakdown in harness within the liner of the unit. This is not a repairable part. Ticket sent to technical lead for review. If further tests required a tech line rep will reach ATEC. Advised contact from Whirlpool if a repair cannot be made.Verbal signature acknowledged.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF767SDEM01 Q1 no Q2 no Q3 no Complaint of no cool. Inspected FC and is at room temperature. Absolutely no cooling power.Ran service test 4. Can hear 3 way valve moving. Compressor does start. Observed evaporator in FC during step 5 of test. No significant frost ever builds on evaporator. Unit low on refrigerant. Ordering sealed system repair. Due to cost of repair customer is researching options with manufacturer and replacement.
WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW4816FW2 Customer stated that unit not progress through cycle. Unit would stay stuck on sensing. Checked for error codes. Discovered error code f2e1 for stuck key. Discovered that start key on control was stuck on. This was causing issue. Unit was continually pausing cycle due to control button sticking. Disassembled control and inspected control. Discovered small piece of plastic causing issue with button. Removed plastic reassembled console and tested button again. Button is now actuating as it should. Could not replicate issue once reassembling console. Ran test cycle to confirm function. Unit tests good
