WASHER GE GTWN4250D0WS Customer concerned with GFCI tripping when using the washer. Checked harness and connections. Tested clutch windings and motor windings to ground. Tested control connections and harness to ground. Did not get continuity to ground anywhere. Ran test cycle. Allowed unit to fill up. Drained water in drain and spin. Checked amperage while testing. Unit would only pull 3 amps when ramping up to high spin. There is only one outlet down stream from the receptacle. It is in the same box and had nothing plugged into it when I arrived. Recommending that an electrician inspect wire dressing inside the receptacle and GFCI for proper operation. If problem persists it’s likely being caused by the motor or clutch. Discussed repair costs for these items with the customer. Not proceeding with a repair at this time.
