I purchased and had delivered from Home Depot a Kitchen Aid compactor. The HD delivered on time, but were clueless as to how to install it. Called Kitchen Aid. Trevor showed up on Monday promptly. The two of us worked on the installation for about 90 minutes. Owner’s manual was not on line nor on the website. Neither of us had any experience on what to do. But Trevor persevered, in opening the bin, getting it working, and detaching the old wood panel and installing it. Unfortunately under the counter trash compactors are rare these days. Being rarely purchased, experienced installers are even rarer. Complicated by the fact that Kitchen Aid did not provide an owners manual, or have one available on line. And instructions in the owners manual for sizing a wooden panel are dead wrong. There is still one critical missing part (the trim kit) which when provided will possibly finish the job. Time for Kitchen Aid to call in Trevor to get the unit’s parts, and instructions synched.
