"I replaced UI to transfer information from board first then i replaced the control, upon replacing control i put the unit into calibration and then the new control arched. I called Tech-Line and they helped me find the cause as it was a bad drain pump as it ohmed out at 1.5. Found drain tube is icing over because the insulation in and around drain tub grommet it holding water. When this water freezes it pinches the drain tube closed. Thawed tube. Can not recommend and repair for the insulation issue that does not require significantly modifying the cabinet.

"Customer states F3E0-temp sensor open or shorted. Verified issue. After inspecting unit i found that temp sensor tested bad. Replaced temp sensor. Ran a 350 bake cycle measuring temps in which the unit showed it was heating up to 438 degrees, i calibrated unit down 30 degrees and tested unit again measuring temps. Unit measured 398 high and 313 low. Unit tested good."

"Customer stated that the units temp selectee and water level switches are not attached. After inspecting unit i found that both tabs holding the switches are broken off the console. Customer stated that unit fills with water then throws the error code. f8e1. Error code F8E1- long fill. I ran a diagnostic test cycle in which the unit operated as intended. I then inspected unit and found that the drain hose is laying on the floor going directly into a floor drain. I held the drain i a up right position like it would be going into a stand pipe and started a normal cycle with a load of towels and the unit reached the wash portion of cycle which it has not done for the customer. I explained to the customer the issue is with the way the drain hose is run and to call a plumber to install a stand pipe. Unit tested good.

"Customer stated that unit is making a noise during agitation. No codes. Upon inspection of unit i discovered that the issue it with the gearcase as it is leaking oil. Unit needs gearcase W11449840, cam W10721967 and belt W11239857. I quoted customer for repair but they declined and is calling Maytag."

I found that the actuator was not fully shifting the cam into position. I replaced the insurance company provided actuator W11481722. Calibrated unit. "Replaced bellows and found that basket is rubbing on new bellows. Basket support is bent or broken causing basket to rub on bellows. Put old bellow back on, customer is going to purchase new machine."

Customer stated laundry is not spinning out. Unit has F8E1 error for long fill. Found that drain hose was not elevated and draining into a sump. Due to drain hose being on the ground unit was never filling. Positioned drain hose so it drains into sink next to washer. Unit operating as expected.

Customer complaint of black stuff on bottom of oven. Found that customer was using convection bake pan for microwave on bottom of oven as drip tray. Coating from pan heated and melted to bottom of oven. Instructed customer to run self clean cycle and wipe out with damp cloth. Emailed customer the owners manual which explains use of convection bake pan.

Customer stated he smelled gas when he turned bake cycle on. I diagnosed unit found the ignitor getting weaker and not lighting burner Everytime. I replaced the ignitor then tested it. Unit is working properly now. ; used 1 12400035 (Ignitor) from stock

Customer stated that self clean was not getting hot. I diagnosed unit found unit is working properly but not to customers expectations. Both bake and broil work accordingly.

Customer stated that Everytime they used front right burner it would trip the breaker and they would see a spark. I diagnosed unit and found a cut wire that was exposed and making contact with metal causing it to short. I spliced and connected the wires together while the new harness comes in. ; ordrng 1 W11532661 (Harness)

"Customer stated unit was not making ice. I checked the door harness for any pinched or cuts wires. I also checked the on/off switch and the bin switch, all tested good. I then checked the fill tube and saw that it was clogged with ice. I used the steamer to clear it, I then put unit into a diagnostic mode and filled it. Unit cycled then filled properly. Ice maker is now working."

Replaced bake element due to damaged element. Tested at 375 degrees in 12 mins. Range checked good.

Customer stated that unit will only run for 3 minutes then stop and unit is not draining. Error code F9E1-long drain. After inspecting unit i found debris in the drain pump causing the unit not to drain. I removed the debris and ran a diagnostic test cycle in which the unit operated as intended. Unit tested good

Installed new burner cap. Tested it out. Unit now lights correctly

Unit cools then gets warm again. Partial frost pattern at .9 amps. Let unit run without fan and condenser was cold and frost developed. Water is leaking from icemaker. Found that wire harness for icemaker not routed correctly and causing water to divert when filling. Also customer has RO filter installed causing reduced water pressure to unit. Removed water filter to increase water pressure and routed harness correctly so all water is going into ice mold now. Unit checks good.

Replaced parts and tested. Unit functions properly.

Unit is making a howling noise. Found that unit was overcharged and capillary tube was vibrating on suction line. Relieved some gas from system and used suppressor putty on cap tube. Unit checks good.

Customer stated she did not think unit was making enough ice. I diagnosed unit found the bin was 3/4 full. I cycled ice maker it dumped the ice in the mold and called for water.

"Customer stated dryer taking a long time to dry. Checked and found poor for all dryers air flow. Recommended a indoor dryer vent kit to help with dry times, long venting run. Dryer is functioning correctly. Dryer checks good."
