It has taken me a while to respond because I wanted my contractor to take a look at what I was being told which I did not believe for a minute. My dish soap was laying at the b ottom of the dishwasher once it was done washing and drying. Both the cube and the liquid. I was told it was not draining properly. There was no water on the bottom of the dishwasher and it had been the drain used by other dishwashers for over 30 years with out a problem. I mentioned that and was told the newer ones are more powerful. I called my contractor in to take a look. Drainage should not be a problem. It is old plumbing so he is going to update it. I have also found that when I run the dishwasher on the normal setting and not the Sensor setting I am not having a problem with the soap sitting on the bottom of the dishwasher. I believe the problem lies with the setting itself. I am at the point of not ever getting another Whirlpool appliance. the firstt Tech you sent me was very good found the problem and it was fixed although how I got a bad pump on a brand new dishwasher is beyond me but I do understand these things happen. I bought this in August and wasn't able to use it until October because of the pump. I had to place another call in November because of the soap sitting on the bottom. I am not a happy customer.

The tech quickly determined the problem with our ice maker, as well as the solution. A new ice maker had to be ordered and he gave an estimate of how long it was likely to take. However, not sure the fix is adequate. One cycle worked fine. Another cycle didn't. In this failed cycle there was water in the machine but at a very low level. When using cancel cycle after the failed cycle, there seemed to be plenty of water draining out. All of the actions during the call seemed excellent. I will call if future cycles aren"t working.

When II called I told the person what the problem was and was told the cost of the service call. The tech came and told me what I already knew, that it was the controller and he informed me that it was not available and he put the panels back and I was told that his supervisor would call me. The next day the tech called me too say his supervisor could not find the part. I did a internet search and found new ones and places to send them for repair. So what did I pay for?

When parts are no longer available it is an unfortunate situation for everyone involved. To us, "knowing" what is wrong doesn't happen until our technicians have their eyes and hands on the machine. We have been doing this long enough to know there are too many variables for it to be otherwise. We also cannot know the status or availability of each of the tens of thousands of parts in our industry. Regarding the part itself; we only purchase parts from factory authorized distributors and will not install re-manufactured boards which potentially could be a safety issue. If the part is found online, it would be wise to know the state of the part. Is it used? Rebuilt? Is it truly in stock? In most cases"NLA" parts that show in stock are actually not. Now to what was paid for. We were called out as professionals to diagnose a non-working oven, which we did. It is unfortunate that the part was no longer available but we can't control that. We agree that this is a frustrating situation and wish there was a different outcome. We are always available if there are any questions. 585-442-8690

Initially I thought the online scheduling process was smooth and efficient but when they could not fix the problem on the first trip rescheduling was not as smooth they only let you select a date ( not even a time window) and they are so busy it took over three weeks to get a second appointment. There is no way to use their online process and get a response because I tried that asking for information and never got a response.

Our machine was leaking oil and had a bad order after each use. He cleaned it out and said he could not promise that the odor would be gone. The odor is still there but at least he explained that it was not dangerous and would not cause a fire or leak on the floor. He said we should at least get another year out of our 3 1/2 year old machine. To fix the problem would mean getting a whole new transmission which would cost more that’s we paid for the machine so we chose to not do that.
